Stop!

First time I saw this I had the song stuck in my head the rest of the day :/ Its been like this for a few months (in Dundee), the sign not having the song stuck in my head. But it is now :/ (its probably a little sad that we drove around the block to take this picture today lol)

I've actually had a thought of taking at least one picture everyday this year but not sure if I could find something to take a picture of everyday. Should probably leave that until closer to the end of this month and I might have a better idea of what I could take a picture of.

I'm trying to get another candy still life together. Another candy that I'm not that keen on but if its the only candy in sight it might get eaten :p I actually like the second picture but thoughts anyone? Going to be done on black paper like the other two were. I think the next candy will be Polos or Smarties. Something I like eating :p

Way better off to try to draw candies you don't like. That way the drawing set up will stay the same, and not keep getting smaller and smaller.

Love the stop sign. I first thought of Stop in the Name of Love, by the Supremes.

  4. LOL -- the stop sign is the sort of subject I would love to find. I love photos that record the common things like that.

Those candies are so pretty. Just look at all that color. If it were me, I'd try another photograph from a more side-on point of view. Of the 3, I like the 2nd one best too.

Licorice allsorts - we can't get those here in Hong Kong but when I go home to Australia I usually pick myself up a packet or two. I now have the song - Stop in the name of love before you break my heart... I'm showing my age LOL. I'm sure you'll find more things to photograph as you start getting into the challenge and see what others are photographing. Blessings, Nicole

Well now that is an interesting photo,,everyday things that your use to seeing seem different in a photo, don't they. I like the second photo best too {:

  8. I love this idea for a still-life! I think the middle one is best as they look as if they're tumbling out of the holder. Look forward to seeing the finished pic :D

  9. I like the Stop Sign and I like your still life but it makes me want some. I guess that is the point of a still life.

  12. Stop sign - cool!

I like second photo best out of 3. But I would probably eat at least a half of composition while building :)

  13. Lovely colours for a still life....

I have a feeling I would have a smaller group to shoot each time I re-arranged them...

  14. Yep, definitely 'Stop, in the name of Love' was what entered my head too.

Licorice Allsorts are a favourite here though we don't get them too often. I try to avoid too much sweet stuff ~ :)
