I almost burned the flat down :p

One burnt chopping board :/ I swear the burner was off when I placed this on the oven and I was only gone for 3 minutes at the most, but damn lucky it didn't start a fire :/ So this is wood cutting board number 2 I have wrecked, I think I will stick with glass cutting boards now :p

Snowed again today :) Still odd seeing palm trees with snow on them

Very cool website. Easy to make your own font and Mr.Fuzzy gave me a really cool idea for a font, just have to figure out how it would work. I have horrible hand writing, and have the bad habit of switching between cursive and block letters when writing. I do remember that mom in an effort to try to get my writing to improve, made me write out the dictionary. And it was one of those dictionaries that you could kill someone with by tossing it at them, it was so heavy :p I can't remember what letter I stopped at, I think I got to "D" and it didn't help my writing :p

Finished scan of the Allsorts. The scratch that showed up in the photo doesn't show up on the scan. Its odd and I can't figure out how it got scratched in the first place.

And a close up of the orange candy. I really like seeing close ups when they are zoomed in so much. You really get to see how the coloured pencil reacts with the paper and how the colours blend together.

  2. hmm I think we both had to write to try to improve our writing, wasn't something we had to do when we were bad. yeah a good thing writing out the dictionary was we learned words that people had no idea what they meant :p

  3. Oh wow- that's scary! Fires scare me to death. I am glad you came back in time to avoid a disaster.

I do the same thig with my writing-combine cursive with printing because my writing is terrible. Sometimes I can't even read it-LOL

Love your candy picture- very nice work!

  4. Happy that nothing worse occured but only a burnt cutting board. Don't throw it away. Paint the background and leave the circle the way it is and you can call your piece.....A Lunar Eclipse! :)
That looks like a perfect Moon.

Cool about those fonts. I'll have to look into that. My handwriting is horrible.

  7. Lol! I thought I was clumsy but you've written off two chopping boards! I'm so glad you found it before a fire started though. Phew!

Palm trees in Scotland? I thought the only place they could survive in the UK was Cornwall! They do look pretty with their snow frosting. Hope they don't mind being cold!

If you think your writing is messy you want to see mine (well actually, you probably don't...)! I'm going to check out that website! :) xxx

  11. Lucky you didn't go out after placing the cutting board on the stove. Close shave!

My handwriting is all over the place....I write all different ways - forward slant, backward slant or upright....but not all at the same time.

    The licorice turned out great!

  12. You Allsorts is brilliant! I love those colors and seeing the close up - always fun to see the marks so enlarged. I'm glad it was only your cutting board that was burned - whew! As for handwriting, I do the same thing, mix cursive with manuscript. Plus mine is messy too, hubby complains about it all the time. I think your handwriting looks pretty cool really :)
