Finished Easter Dragons

"Easter Dragons 2009" Copyright Jennifer Rose Phillip

Finally finished :D I could darken a few areas, but I am going to leave it alone for a few days. I need to start some drawings that are a little bit more realistic then this.

And a really blue framed version :)

Don't think I would ever frame it this colour, but I think its pretty :) Wish I had of finished it sooner as I would have printed up some prints but Easter is so soon I don't think any prints would get mailed out in time to get their destination by Easter :/

I was going to put in shadows for the baskets and the candy on the bottom but I actually really like the way it looks without the shadows. Looks a little cleaner. :)

Love it Jennifer, the colours work really well...the blue mat is vibrant and looks good, but maybe just a bit too bright.

  7. I think these are lovely - I like the 'animated' style of illustration. Ever thought of doing book illustrations? Great work : )

  10. Bumble Vee- thanks :) I wasn't sure what expression to give him. thought about giving him a mouth, but it looked odd

    Carla- thank you :)

Vic- yeah I agree the blue is a bit bright. Would tone it down if it was really framed. Maybe still blue but not as bright. :)

    Chrissy- thank you :D

    thanks Shashi :)

kerry- just grab a pencil and draw :) everyone can draw, just takes a lot of practice to draw the way you want to.

alison- thanks :) I've had a few people ask me if I have ever thought about doing illustrations for books. I would have no idea how to even get involved with a book. would be a great thing to happen though :)

    thanks Serena :)
