Small Eagle Update :)

Copyright Jennifer Rose Phillip

A bit more progress on the eagle. Starting to darken some areas and add some yellows to the feathers. Might add a few purples to get some really dark darks but not going to do that until more of her is completed.

I can not get a good photo of this so will have to try again in the daylight. Going to take a few scans as it is too big to fit on the scanner as a whole when it is done. The bird isn't as yellow looking in person as it is here, I think the flash is reflecting off the background colours and making the browns more yellow than it is :/

And we have strawberries! well only a few but they will be ready to pick probably tomorrow. They taste so much better then store bought ones :D And who would have thought that fresh peas taste so different from store bought ones :p makes sense as they haven't travelled miles. So so far the peas have grown, the potatoes have grown and are still growing, lettuce and spinach, a few radishes, and strawberries have lived and prospered. No signs of the beans (which is all right with me :p), they are growing but no actual beans yet. The tomato plants are doing well and surprisingly the corn that Mr.F put in the ground is getting taller. Wasn't sure it would be hot enough for it to live (has visions of a scene from Children of the Corn being acted out in the 10 inch square corn patch :p o.0). So even if we get one corn stalk that grows something it will be an achievement. :)

  6. This looks fantastic so far, Jennifer!

I have to say, that background is really working for this piece. It'll be interesting to see the contrast between the two once the eagle is done.

    Good job!
