Owls

I am going to start another digital bird but can't decide on the pose. This is #1,

and #2. Which one do you prefer? I'm thinking #2 but can't decide which might look the best.

Couldn't find anything to sketch, so grabbed a little tube of hand gel sitting on my desk lol

  1. i vote for both - but if I have to only have one i would do two. I like that you sketch what is nearby - i use to do that and just today was thinking I need to start doing some random items around the house and use my acrylics and paint them.

    1. thanks sandy :) I can try to get both done before I do back to uni :) even if you sketched digitally, would still be good practice :)

  2. Either one would be good. Depends on what you want to spend your time on, the face or the perspective.

    1. probably the face, would be more of a challenge :)

  3. I love both owls! I'm not sure which one you should do. Nicely sketched had gel too.

  4. Well I think you should do both - start with the 2nd if you only have time and inclination to do one because the eyes are what really draws you into the owl's face, plus the eagle you just did (or is it a hawk? sorry, migraine today ruining my short term memory!) was a side view :) Either way, I know it will be fierce!

    1. thanks Rhonda :) I wish I could get both done before Uni starts back up but might be cutting it close on time. yeh I didn't really want to do another profile of a bird, but sometimes that is what I end up doing anyway lol
