Sunday Sketches/Inktober #16

A simple little bottle of ink for todays sketch. And thats pretty much all the drawing I've done today since the MS seems to be kicking my butt at the moment but I did have ago again at redoing my website.

This is the splash page, which I don't actually know if I will use since they are starting to be frowned on. People want to see and read a site without having to click a lot. But if you hover over the dragon, it changes colour to enter the site.

The main page, which still needs work. The images are just place images at the moment just so that I can get a rough idea of what it will look like.

Simple, functional and to the point. I am not a fan of websites that have a lot of moving images in them, and its not because of a slow connection, thats not the problem (fibre broadband). It messes with my eyes and gives me a headache. I don't want to feel seasick looking at a website lol

  1. LOVE that green dragon.

I agree with you about keeping websites simple, it's so annoying to have to click through two or three pages to get to the information you wanted to see in the first place.

  3. The sketch is wonderful and I love your dragon. I too like a simple website design. Mine needs some attention, but it isn't one of my favorite things to do...

  4. love your dragon :)
I agree with what you say about websites. I too love it simple. But I think a click on the image to enter is fully OK.
Good luck with the dedoing. :)

  6. Firstly, I am loving your loose-style sketches. I try to do the loose, scribble sketches but then I always end up refining and detailing and, before I know it, I've gone with the realistic look. I will keep trying.

I have to admit that I'm not a fan of websites that use a landing page. The less clicking, the better. I love websites that are simple, easy on the eyes, and also easy to navigate. OH, and I'm with you on the moving images...I feel a sense of vertigo when I'm trying to read and things are moving about. Sometimes, I feel sick and have to take a break from the computer.

Have a great week....hope the MS settles down for you soon. xo

  9. Damn that MS, just when you don't need it I bet that's when it flares up. I hope it flares down soon. I agree about the moving bits, too many and my eyes go weird too. Of course I love the green dragon!!!
