Sunday Sketches

Chris suggested I draw a squirrel, so here is one for number 14. I probably should have made the tail more furry.

A very long in the face water buffalo. I am always amazed at the size of these animals, look like they are just pure muscle. The muscles in my left hand hurt after drawing these, not use to being used lol

  1. Love the way you drew the squirrel's tail - looks like it's twitching.
Squirrels are my dog's favorite playthings. He has snatched a few off of trees, but they are wise to him now.
The water buffalo is pretty cool, too.
Maybe one a day would be easier on your hand for a little while...

  2. I love them both...but being from Australia I still find squirrels particularly novel and could watch them playing for hours!

  5. thanks Chris :) I only draw one a day, anymore than that would def be a bad idea. our dog isn't a fan of squirrels either, but thankfully we don't have that many around here, just lots of rabbits, which she doesnt like either lol

thanks you BrownPaperBunny :) they can be funny to watch, especially if thy are trying to get past food defenses on bird feeders

    thanks Christine :)

thank you Lisa :) the left handed drawings of animals are going better than I thought they would lol

  10. I'm impressed with your non-dominant hand drawings! We've got lots of rabbits and squirrels around here too.

I'm late in visiting everyone for March 12 sunday sketches. Thanks for your visit last week.

  11. The squirrel is great but I love the water buffalo. I think they are feral up North on The Mainland. I couldn't draw half, or a quarter as well with my dominant hand.
