Jennifer Rose, your goose drawing is wonderful. Geese are not the nicest of birds.Around here they mess up people's yards and stand in the middle of the street daring you to hit them. Just so you know, your link on PPF does not work. I had to key in your URL to get to your blog.
Yes, the Canadian goose can get nasty. Have seen only a few here in the US Pacific Northwest, although they are everywhere in Michigan (midwest) where I used to live. I miss watching them fly.
I think all geese and ducks can be aggressive but still interesting to watch - just don't feed them bread (not really good for them). Haven't seen our two ducks this spring yet - maybe the water is just too low in the pool for them. We need to redo the decking around the pool = a chore to be a homeowner and try to keep up (or catch up when everything's coming down at the same time).
Faye, thank you for letting me know about the link being messed up :) geese do make a lot of mess :/ and if they get hit, do can do a lot of damage
thanks Chris :) you knew winter was coming and spring was going to show up when your heard them honking and flying
thanks Laila :)
Rhonda, yeah most geese are not that friendly :/ I tell people all the time not to feed them and the ducks/swans bread but most people don't care :/ the council owns this house, so we need to get permission to do anything to the yard, but they fix things (sometimes lol) hopefully your ducks come back to the pond
This weeks colours for The Summer of Color are 2 purples and a yellow and this is what I did with them. Not my favorite colours so really racked my brain trying to think how I could use them and which bird to use. Decided to go with a juvenile Golden Eagle since I don't have any photos of a purple bird :p I think I prefer the black background, the yellow seems to stand out more against it. Which do you prefer?

We have millions of geese here. I am not exaggerating. They are here year round and so many of them they take over. Your single goose is lovely.
