You really will have to put together a compilation of all your lefty bird drawings. I really like them. Eagles always have this slightly menacing, slightly cartoon like look. We have a lot around here, I love to see them fly.
thanks Nicole :) I dont have much of a choice with my elbow so sore but at least I can still draw :)
thank you Chris :) their little crest can get pretty crazy but good way to tell the mood of a bird :)
thanks Jeanette :) I have all of the paper copies and scans of them so might put something together with them :) we have a lot of owls and buzzards around here, I've seen a golden eagle in one of the fields but haven't seen her since. we had a cockatiel when younger, I remember how curious he was of everything :)
thanks denthe :)
thank you Lisa :) they do make nice little pets :) and can be very friendly little things
This weeks colours for The Summer of Color are 2 purples and a yellow and this is what I did with them. Not my favorite colours so really racked my brain trying to think how I could use them and which bird to use. Decided to go with a juvenile Golden Eagle since I don't have any photos of a purple bird :p I think I prefer the black background, the yellow seems to stand out more against it. Which do you prefer?
Ohhh wow these are amazing. I really love that you draw with your "other" hand. LOL
ReplyDeleteTwo sweet drawings! Love the Muppets / Sam Eagle & really love that cockatiel (looks like he has crazy hair).

ReplyDeleteI used to have cockatiels years ago, cute birds.
I love the expression on the first one :-) You are building quite a collection with your left-handed birds!
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful these are! I especially love the cockatiel, we had a couple of them a long time ago, they were sweet but also noisy...

Wow, this is another great sketch that caught my eye. The sharp looking eagle and the merry love bird make a cool contrast.
