Inktober Day 17 and Day 18

A spooky kettle for day 17. OK it was supposed to be kettles, but this is a tiny sketchbook and kettles wont fit on a page lol Not too happy with the green, probably should have used a different colour but it does help to give the kettle a Halloween theme.

Fleshed out the "BOO" but when I was colouring it In realized I should have just used the markers to fill the text out and leave out the hard lines. Oh well, live and learn.

A hurting tree for day 18. Hurting because all the leaves are falling off?

I tried to give the bark a rougher look, could have maybe made the bark a bit rougher but I didn't want to cover up the face.

    Ow, tree has a real pain face, makes me think of toothy problems, drawn from experience?

Summer of Colour #3

This weeks colours for The Summer of Color are 2 purples and a yellow and this is what I did with them. Not my favorite colours so really racked my brain trying to think how I could use them and which bird to use. Decided to go with a juvenile Golden Eagle since I don't have any photos of a purple bird :p I think I prefer the black background, the yellow seems to stand out more against it. Which do you prefer?
