Winged Dragon #2

Image
I have just been working on the head on this dragon. Haven't started on the body yet, and probably wont for a few days now. He is turning out to be a very different looking dragon for me. Very bird influenced it seems. Sort of a cross between a vulture and a spur winged plover. Plus me just messing around lol

Winged Dragon #1

Image
Started to work on a standing winged dragon last night. Have all the time in the world right now to work on what ever I want, so of course I make a dragon lol Created the basic shape above. Made  the spheres into an adaptive skin and now can start modeling. Started to build up the basic shapes on the head and wing arms. Possibly going to take awhile to fill out all the detail.

Weekly Book Wrap Up

Image
Abaddon's Gate by James S.A. Corey My rating: 4 of 5 stars Little slow to start but once things start happening, the pace really picks up. Maybe a bit too much in the end because if you blink you will miss something lol I enjoyed the book even if it did just seem like 500+ pages of story to set up a big plot point for the rest of the series. Dogs Trust Posters

Image
These are the posters to go with the motion graphic piece I made for the brief for the Dogs Trust. This is probably my favourite out of the 5 of them :) And the final happy dog :)

Eagle Owl Update #22

Image
So close to finishing the feathers. lol, why do I always choose to work big when etching? I thought I might have a problem working on all the loose feathers, but its actually been easier than the other feathers to get looking right.

Finished Dino

Image
Finished the Triceratops head. I might put a bod on him, but time will tell. I really like this close up. Makes it a lot easier to see the scaly texture and the texture of the horns. I plan on doing a bunch of other Dinosaurs, head and body models. It helps me keep learning with the program and I have always loved Dinosaurs.

Weekly Book Wrap Up

Caliban's War by James S.A. Corey My rating: 5 of 5 stars Re-read. Still enjoyed it. more characters to read than the first one, but not so many they seem pointless to the story. love Bobbie and Chrisjen's interactions. On to the next book :) older review: Great book, funny and fast paced. I thought this sequel was better then the first actually :) View all my reviews   Jennifer's bookshelf: currently-reading Grid Systems in Graphic Design/Raster Systeme Fur Die Visuele Gestaltung by Josef Müller-Brockmann tagged: currently-reading Making and Breaking the Grid: A Graphic Design Layout Workshop by Timothy Samara tagged: currently-reading Know Your Onions - Graphic Design: How to Think Like a Creative, Act like a Businessman and Design Like a ...
