Bright Green

I haven't seen any of these in zoos, its a Red Crested Turaco. Seen them on nature documentaries tho and their feathers shine like emeralds.

Sketch #53 & 54

I have figured something out with my left hand drawings, if I have drawn the bird before with my right hand, I find the bird easier to draw with my left. Don't think I've drawn a Ceder Waxwing before, don't remember at least and found it harder to sketch compared to a Kingfisher, which I have drawn before and found easier to sketch with my left.

An odd looking confused owl for left handed sketch #52.

Finally got around to watching Rogue One last night. I thought it was OK but I've developed a problem. I can't seem to watch anything now without paying attention to the design elements rather than the story lol Or I start wondering how hard it would be to create some of the creatures in ZBrush, (probably pretty hard right now since I haven't used it since February :/ )

Sunday Sketches

This is now 50 left handed sketches done, not all of them were of birds tho so  I would need to draw a few extra ones if I wanted 365 birds drawn with my left hand. The above was a Blue-footed Booby but I ran out of room to draw his legs and below is  cue little Chickadee, another common tiny bird in Canada.

Weekly Book Wrap Up

Still reading War and Peace, pg 687 so nowhere near finished lol

Draplin Design Co.: Pretty Much EverythingDraplin Design Co.: Pretty Much Everything by Aaron James Draplin
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

So full of colour :) Nicely printed photos and a good show of work he did when younger to until now with an over view of his life and working career. The book is written like how he speaks, so if you haven't listened to any of his talks, might be a good idea to so that you know the style and language you are going to read so you will know if the book is for you or not.

A Canadian Goose for sketch #48. You see them a lot around here and I know to stay away from them this time of year, they can be angry bastards lol

Finished Beer Designs

I finally managed to get the label design part of this uni project finish. Took long enough lol and my arm is killing me now. I still have to print the labels and stick them to the pop cans I will be using and then make up some merchandise mockups. I do need to stencil the box these will be going in and create a little card/poster to go with it but I am almost done lol (only 2 other big projects, an essay and a journalist piece to go...wish me luck.)

The back design which needed to include certain things in the design such as the units recommended, don't drink when knocked up etc

Left Handed Sketches #46/

An eagle that kind of reminds me of Sam Eagle lol

And a tiny cockatiel, cute little birds that come in many different colours.

Bright White

I could almost do a months worth of drawings with all the different parrots out there lol I love Cockatoos, but I also know they are a lot of work, too much for me.

Road Kill

Sadly this is the time of the year you see a lot of male pheasants killed on the road :( Too busy fighting each other over a Mrs to pay attention to the tonne of moving vehicle coming their way. Never really see the females, usually just the brightly coloured males. (#44/365)

Bright Blue

A Blue Jay for left handed sketch #41. I do miss seeing these birds, even if they are bullies at the bird feeder, they are still gorgeous blue birds to see.

Xray Results

So like everything else with me, its never simple lol Even the Dr said that. The Xrays were inconclusive, I might have fractured the radial head in my elbow, but they don't know, so the mystery continues. But it would make sense if I have done that since the pain is right in that area, hopefully orthopaedics can give me some answers since they can see the Xrays that were taken or can order more to try to see what is going on and they are the experts for broken bones/tendons etc.

I am really happy with this falcon. Probably my favourite of the left handed sketches so far.

A very round pigeon for #38 left handed sketch. The bane of most cities, but if people would stop feeding them their trash they wouldn't be as big of a problem as the are.

Sunday Sketches

More left handed bird sketches, #35 and #36. I don't think the whole 365 will be sketches of birds, even tho there is roughly 9,956 bird species. I would probably get bored if I just drew another 329 birds.

Weekly Book Wrap Up

Shocker, still reading War and Peace lol but did manage to finish a few other things.

Outcast, Vol. 1: A Darkness Surrounds HimOutcast, Vol. 1: A Darkness Surrounds Him by Robert Kirkman
My rating: 2 of 5 stars

This could have been a great graphic novel, but the story is too slowly paced which I could have forgiven since its the start of a series, but the art does not go at all with such a dark subject. The story jumps around too much and is everyone possessed by demons? *rolls eyes*

its your basic zombie book were nothing new happens, and the character is a dick so didn't care if he lived or died. but was free so hard to give it one star :p
