End of Inktober

Image
(#27) No more daily sketching, well I will probably have to sketch for uni but those are usually really rough sketches and thumbnails. (#28) If I had of done fine art, I probably would have lots of uni work to post, but I didn't do fine art because I thought I would be bored. And while there is a lot I can learn art wise in any field, I wanted to try something I had never really done a lot of, which is why I did graphic design. (#29) (#30)  People keep asking me what I am going to do after I am done this year. Who knows lol (#31)

Weekly Book Wrap Up

Image
Still reading War and Peace (big bloody book), I will finish it eventually, but its the type of book for me I need a good few solid hour to read chunks of and too busy with uni to get the time.   The Shock by Scott Nicholson My rating: 1 of 5 stars Too many characters, the characters are just giant stereotypes, the plot went no where. Positives? Quick to read, and um... thats about it. I have read a lot of zombie books, its hard to write one that isn't full of cliches and stupid characters, but at least most of them were entertaining, this one, not so much. Inktober #25 and #26

Image
Inktober #25, a dog dragon. This was a very quick sketch just to get the idea down, reminds John and me of a gargoyle, would look neat done in 3D. Inktober #26, dragon horse! :)

Scribble Picnic-Boo!

Image
This weeks topic over at Scribble Picnic is boo! Which I didn't notice until 20 minutes ago, so quickly made up a creepy looking 3D pumpkin. I would love to redo this when I have more spare time, maybe for next years Halloween.

3 Inktober Sketches

Image
(#22) Three more Inktober sketches, all based on different animals. The last one is easy but see if you can guess the animals. (#23)     (#24) Six more to go and I've managed 31 different dragons, probably take a break from dragons after lol

Weekly Book Wrap Up

Image
Authority by Jeff VanderMeer My rating: 1 of 5 stars boring boring boring :/ Too long and tedious You don't learn anything really about Area X that you didn't know before and the "big" surprise at the end is really the only thing that happens. The main narrator is boring, the only thing that saves this book are the other characters in the book. Skip to the last 50 or so pages because the rest is forgettable. disappointed since I enjoyed the first one so much, probably wont finish the series unless I can get the last book free from the library View all my reviews Jennifer's bookshelf: currently-reading The Lie Tree by Frances Hardinge tagged: currently-reading In Cold Blood by Truman Capote tagged: currently-reading War and Pea
