  1. some of the houses round here go nuts and clover the house in lights and snow people and Santa's and all sorts......
one one house last year had snowmen, Santa's, more than one. penguins, reindeer....all sorts and three wise men....but my fave was an inflatable Santa who was about 6 foot tall and didnt keep its inflation so he kept bending over like he was puking!!!
I put my tree up, but haven't done the lighst or decks yet...just a bare tree!

  5. SO many of the houses here totally over do it. I used to love driving around as a kid and look at the Christmas lights, but now, it's so ubiquitous and over-the-top it is unenjoyable (except for maybe the laugh factor).

There is one house that has all of these 'inflatable' figures, which of course, they don't run while it's light out, so their front yard is littered with uninflated 'carcasses' during the day. Dead Santas!
