So I might be going back to Canada for 2 weeks in July. My mother is getting married. Which is just odd. Thats all I could say on the phone :p, that this is odd. She swore up and down she would never get married again but I guess after 11 years with the guy she changed her mind when he asked.
Its not a definite thing (and Mr.F isn't going to be coming because of lack of funds :/), need to find out a bit more about the flight and find travel insurance, which isn't cheap :/ £134 o.0 ouch
I want to try to take my laptop. I would go through withdrawls without it :p Actually its mostly so I can back up any photos I take because we only have the one memory card now that the other one is fried.
Last time I flew I was so full of medication for air sickness I was probably drooling :p
These flowers are gorgeous! I love the foxgloves too. I see lots of reference material here!
ReplyDeleteLovely colour!
ReplyDeleteHow long has it been since you've been in Canada? Congratulations to your Mum on her upcoming wedding ~ :)
I can post some bigger pictures if you want to sketch them Ann. Just let me know, I have a lot of them floating around and will probably take more tomorrow :)
ReplyDeleteWe were in Canada in 2007, went to Ontario so John could get his PR card for Canada. I haven't been back to Alberta since January 2005 (when it was freezing :p). Shouldn't be cold in July but the weather in Alberta is very odd :p I will let her know of the congratulations :)
Beautiful! And I never get tired of looking at flowers. I hope you get to attend your mom's wedding. I'm sure it would mean a lot to her.
ReplyDeletehorrible long flight and terrible cost..... I was in England in '05 .... I don't know why it has to be so darned expensive.
ReplyDeleteyeh.... you know Alberta weather well..we just had snow...a friend's wedding in Agust was snowed upon a few years back... it's just weird here in the foothills...
are expecting more rain/snow showers today...
that was me Jennifer.. BumbleVee ...can't figure this thing out....
ReplyDeleteit would, she sounded so happy on the phone :) hopefully we can figure out everything so i can go :)
ReplyDeletethe costs of some things are insane here o.0 others are cheaper, not many things tho :p
ReplyDeleteshe is in lethbridge, so no weather off of the foothills to deal with, but lots of wind :p
you just need to pick a name, BumbleVee, and then if you want to get any replies fill in your email :) if people have problems with it, I will change it back to bloggers comment system :) you can leave a comment as a quest and still fill out the nickname part :)
Beautiful bloom! Pity they don't last longer.
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful that your mom has someone in her life that she wants to marry.
it is nice that she is going to make an honest man out of him after 11 years :p
ReplyDeleteLove the color and curves of rhododendron, ours are absolutely different!
ReplyDeleteI love the rhodos. We do not get many of them in Ottawa although this Spring has been perfect for them-long, damp and cool. They were prolific on Vancouver Island where I grew up and I think that my parents were a little obsessed by them so we went to every well known Azalea and Rhodo garden around.
ReplyDeletedifferent colours or different shapes?
ReplyDeleteI'd never seen them before, but now I want to grow them everywhere lol I really want to visit the island, have to make it over there one day :)
