And...also taking a dog grooming class at the same time. Plus college. I think I need help :p

Not sure what I will learn at the dog course since I did work at a dog groomers. Probably learn how to finish a dog ,since I've only roughed them

Rough groom to get rid of the worst of the mess. Bathed and dried, trimmed and nail cut. brushed and express anal glands (look it up not explaining it here ;p). And that beats almost anyone in the gross department.

It was a hard job, and even harder when you saw the abuse of some of the animals, didn't happen a lot thankfully, (in some cases, people just didn't know). But some of the dogs made it worth it.

Fred the huge Basset Hound who would roll around on the floor and play but barely fit in the tub :p I remember playing with him waiting for his owners to show up and Fred managed to pin me to the ground right when they did show up. Heavy dog :p Loved his ears :D

And of course the worst dog I ever bathed was ours :p He freaked out when the tap turned on and jumped on me for safety. And when a 100lb dog jumps on you, you notice :p And then when I didn't help him he decided to go for the wall and put holes in it with his paws :p Eventually he got use to the water, after a few more tries....

Said dog looking innocent :p

  1. Well hey, never a dull moment - belly dancing eh? Sounds fabulous. I would need a costume that would cover my abs!! :-)

Loved the doggie stories...I once had a German Shepherd that um, how to say this...would have an episode involving his anal glands when he had a vet appointment. The vet said it was fear and he would outgrow it. Thankfully he did.

  4. my sister took a belly dancing class years ago and absolutely loved it... ... she used an old padded push up bra and decorated it with beading, fringies, and little dime sized coins and tiny bells that you can buy in strands at the fabric shops... it was hot sugar pinks and it looked great. It is definitely a workout once you get on to the moves...

yep... definitely looking the part of innocent...hahahha....

  8. I owned a dog grooming shop for years. Hard work, but I loved it. Had to give it up when my health went to hell, but I still do Isabella myself.

You sure have a lot going on. I don't know how you keep up with yourself.

Linda- i don't sleep ;p grooming is such hard work. all most people can think about is your around dogs all day how hard could it be. I always said you try brushing out a keeshond and then tell me its an easy job. or deal with a psychotic yorkie who wants to eat your face off :p fun times :p did like it though :)
