Angry

On Friday night we heard 2 loud bangs but didn't really think anything of it as almost everyone on this street slams their doors (which I will never understand) . Mr.F did look out the window but didn't see anything, but all someone would have to do is duck behind the hedge to be hidden.

Why do I know it was done on purpose? I heard 2 males laughing after but again didn't think anything off it because on a Friday night there are drunks laughing. I feel stupid actually that I didn't go and check the car.

What really pisses me off is that its not just deliberate, its a threat. Don't phone the cops or it will happen again. This isn't me jumping to conclusions. Its a fact around here and anyone who denys it is blind.

So we are now out £50 we did not have, but a part of me is thinking whats the point fixing it because its just going to happen again. (or worse >> MR F...who is starting to take a daily mail view of the world :-( )

  1. I just can't understand people who get their kicks out of being so destructive to other people's property. I'm a big believer in karma but, sometimes, it doesn't look like these people get their karma back nor does it help your predicament now. I don't blame you for feeling angry.

  2. Oh no, that is just terrible. You poor things.
I had my car scratched and my number plate almost ripped of at 'halloween'. One year youths broke a window in very car for kilometres, about 700 cars and so we all had to replace a window. Mine had to come from Africa, it was the little triangular side back window.
These are the same people who would scream blue murder if you even looked sideways at their property. And sad to say they will probably get off with a slap on the wrist if they are caught because they cry 'sad childhood' as an excuse.

  3. That is awful. Sorry this has happened to you. Here our car insurance covers such things. What a drag you guys have to pay for someone else's criminal behavior.

  4. Hmmm and what is worse is that terrible culture. If you ring the police, you pay again...
And sadly if you do contact the police, they will never apprehend them either...

  5. Damn! Vandalism is stupid- just plain freaking stupid. We were vadalized a few years ago- smashed lights, etc. I was furious. I just don't understand what possible aatisfaction people get from that. But then the older I get the less understand people as a whole. So sorry this happened to you.

  6. Thats just awful :(, is it a common thing to happen in your area? We hardly heard of break in or cars being broken into but for some reason last year its all you heard about. People being asleep in their bed and people clearing their houses out from down below. With cars its mainly those that are taxi drivers that end up being broken into because people are looking for money. Hopefully you've had a no problem since :(

  7. I just don't understand people sometimes... Glad it was the car and not you!

  8. I would report it...make the police fill out all the forms...so that if it happens again you have a paper trail started.
Squeaky wheel gets the grease sort of thing.
What's the threat? You should move? You owe them something? Pffft. You have a car and they don't? pfft.

  9. Aw, what a shame! I was wondering if you live in a city environment, but these things happen everywhere. We had several similar instances in our neighborhood last year and we are classified as semi-rural!
I'm so sorry it happened to you.....

  10. You have every right to be angry. I will never ever understand the mind of people who think vandalism is entertaining. It's scary to think how small their souls must be to create such deliberate ugliness. I'm so so sorry this happened to you.

Unfortunately I don't think the police would be able to do anything anyway. Not without fingerprinting the car which they aren't going to do, they have nothing to go on. It's really shitty, but at least you were partly covered by insurance so didn't have to pay the full windscreen amount, they're not cheap :( And if you ever find them hanging around again I find an air rifle does well to scare people off ;)

  12. Oh no :( Hopefully it won't cost you too much to repair.

  13. serena, i believe in karma too but yes sadly these types of people just seem to get away with it :/

cindy, thats a lot of cars! i hate how the sad childhood is used as an excuse, this people have no idea what a sad childhood actually is

ann, the car insurance covers some of it but we need to pay an excess.

chrissy, it is a horrible culture. one that has been let to go on for far too long :/

yeah sandra. was not a nice thing to find out :/

linda, I don't understand the satisfaction with doing something like this either. if you want to smash something, smash your own stuff, not other's :/

groovey, hard to say if its common as not a lot of stuff gets reported :/ when it comes down to it, it is only a few people causing the street to be like this. they just seem to be breeding like rabbits and its getting worse :/

michelle, yeah so am i :)

mary, we live in a town, but a lot of the people that have been moved into the area recently are from not the best parts of the city.

judi, I just think about a funny part. small souls=small something else :p

pennydog, I never thought the cops would be able to do anything. I wish one of us had of seen someone and then they might have been able to do something. lol, about the air rifle. we would be the ones ending up getting charge in that case tho :/

Lynsey, only £50 so could have been worse

  15. Ow, ow, ow. That is nasty. Not that it hasn't happened to me, but it's always nasty, especially when it's on purpose.
Had it done the night of my Dad's funeral. I ran down the street screaming F***! over and over again.

  17. It was a long time ago. Just an illustration of how personal these 'minor' acts of vandalism are.
