I took a weekend off, the weather was really too nice to work :p So no art to show, and I have still been taking my 365 pics, just haven't uploaded them yet. Been listen to a lot of music tho and love this song also can't get this song out of my head: I still need to write a review for Feed, and find something else to read. I have a few books from the library but they wont last for long. On Goodreads you can set up a book challenge for yourself, so I challenged myself to read 50 books this year. I probably should have started simple with my first crochet project. A small scarf, or even just a few granny squares. No. I want to make a ripple blanket. 0.o all this counting is driving me insane....

Like jump over the band stand wall right after this was taken. o.0 its not exactly a low fall, but she wanted to do it again :p Started the other petals, which are turning out really nice. I was wondering how I was going to get a faded fuzzy effect with the petals, but I think if I draw them upside down it helps. I focus more on the colours, rather then the detail.

Aardvarks! Aardvarks are cool :D So ugly they are cute lol For this weeks Flickr Faves I have decided to start a theme within a meme. Using all the letters of the alphabet I will make a mosaic of animals starting with the next letter. I have tried to read this book over a dozen times, but its just sooo damn boring I can't finish it :/ I keep making myself try to read it, so many other pagans swear by it that I think maybe I am just missing something, so keep punishing myself :p I just can't seem to get more than a third into the book before giving up and falling asleep. Maybe I am missing something, I don't think I am, but there must be something about this book that has caused a spark in so many people, I just can't figure it out why. I will more than likely keep trying to finish this, at least then I could honestly say its crap and give reasons or I might actually enjoy it by the end. hmm will have to wait and see. And a small update on the dahlia. The other flower shouldn't take that long since its faded out and isn't all that detailed.

well maybe not :p I will be the first to admit, I am not a painter. Give me a pencil or some ink and I can draw almost anything. Hand me a brush with some paint and you might be lucky to have any of the paint actually end up on the canvas and not in my hair or up my nose :p But that is one reason I am taking the painting class, to get practice at painting, and fingers crossed have something at the end I will not be completely embarrassed to hang on the wall. I had some oil painting lessons years ago (I think I was around 12 o.0 ack that makes me feel old :p), but I got so frustrated with the paint I threw the brushes down and just used my fingers. Things worked a lot better after that lol For some reason the teacher was a little pissed off I was using my fingers with the paints, hmm couldn't be that some were toxic could it? :p I have a few weeks to work on this and the other painting on the huge canvas, so will have updates every once and awhile so we can all laugh at my paint...

The return of more petals. I really have no idea what to call this when it is finished. Pink Dahlia is boring and while "The drawing which drive me insane" would def. catch someone's attention, it doesn't make for the best title :p

Felting is one craft I haven't tried that I really, really want to. There are so many wonderful looking things that are made this way, the house would be full of more fuzzy dragons :) But there is one thing that stops me: The sharp needle. I bleed a lot and am a clutz when it comes to sharp objects :p There are not enough band-aids in the house for me to even try to felt something :p For more Flickr Faves head over here

Finished drawing of Sky. It wont fit on my scanner, so a photo of it will have to do for now. I would love a bigger scanner, but its either find the space for a bigger scanner or a couch to sit on :p

Too red? It probably wont be as red as it is on the box, but the bottom of the shower stall will probably look like a cow was killed in the bathroom tomorrow :p And a sketch for what I hope will be a painting. Its not that I don't like to paint, I'm just not very good at it lol so I end up getting frustrated and chucking paint brushes at the walls.

You are never too old to make snow angels, but I did remember after I did this that when I was a kid, I was usually wearing a snow suit, so couldn't get snow down the back of my clothes....brrr very cold Sky loves the snow, acts more crazy in the park (never thought that was possible). Its all gone now, and we are stuck with gale force winds and rain. Great. Its going to be like a giant ice rink tomorrow if it freezes. I wouldn't mind going ice skating actually, but its been over 15 years since I was skating last, and somehow I don't think its like riding a bike. I don't feel like falling on my ass every two feet when I have sharp blades strapped to my feet :p And almost finished :D Just need to darken it and then spray with fixative. I have been trying to find a frame for this the last week but because of the size they are not cheap :/

I love the Border Collie stare, its so intense. But sometimes I do have the feeling that she is having a staring contest with me, and she will not blink until I do first :p And where the hell does all that tongue go when she closes her mouth?!?

1. My dream house. , 2. Stabled Horses , 3. Babette , 4. The old library  This week has a theme: your dream home. I love old houses, with a porch you can sit out in the rain under. And it has to have a stable and a pony, or 2 :p There would be colourful blankets everywhere, who cares if they clash lol. And there would definitely have to be a library with lots of comfy chairs and couches to read on and probably fall asleep on. Wood floors are a must, not only do they look great, its really funny to see the dog slide around on them :p For more Flickr Favourites head over here
