Flickr Favourites March 15, 2011

This weeks Flickr Favourite features the Echidna :) Another odd but cute looking critter. I don't plan on having pics of only odd creatures for a favourite, I just want to post pics of animals that might not be known of, or well known.

If anyone has an suggestions for any animal for the letter "F" and beyond, please let me know. :)

  1. Hi ,
That one should carry around a sign that says" Handle with Care! " LOL

  3. Echidnas are very funny, they kind of waddle when they walk, their whole body sways from side to side. They are quite slow and ponderous in the day time, they like the cool, but they are very compact. I think they are perfectly normal looking, but that's because we see them often in the bush, and even at a friend's house!!

  4. Ha, I've seen this one in real! Cool guy!
For the 'F' animal, how about a Fox of a Fret (perhaps that last name is not english but you can search for pictures) :)

  5. We have echidnas here occasionally, just poking around in the mulch looking for ants. If you startle it, the echidna will tuck it's head and feet under and make itself into a ball (of spikes). Later it unrolls again when it thinks the coast is clear, and just toddles off.
