Ghost

I started this a few weeks ago, finally had time to finish it. Its a very simple looking horse, but I think it looks good.
And on to another horse. This time in graphite and probably a little bit more realistic looking. Lately I have been trying to simplify objects when I draw them, but sometimes I just want to draw lots of detail :p
Some people might remember this plant from last year. It wasn't my rhododendron then, but its in the backyard now. The person who did own it, got pissed off at one of the neighbours, hacked all of her (not the neighbour,) plants down due to them being overrun with weeds (and other things :/) from the neighbours part of the yard,  this one survived. When we left the flat I asked if I could take it and she said sure, take them all. So it now survives here, but only if Sky shows no interest in it. Since they are pretty toxic for dogs if they eat any part of it, as soon as she goes to chew it, the plant goes (so far she ignores this one, the others are already gone). Such pretty flowers, but pretty bad for dogs :/ Not a lot of people around here know that and are really surprised to find that out.

And apparently when mom was here she brought the Alberta wind with her as every day she has been gone the wind has been so strong I have been almost knocked off of my feet :/

Comments

  1. I did know about the rhodos, and other plants we have here too. Luckily my dogs only chew on edible things. Puppies and young puppy dogs have little restraint though.

That is a plant I never see, but it is beautiful. Let's hope Sky ignores it.
