Flickr Faves

This weeks dog is very, very, very fuzzy, the Keeshond :)
I can speak from experience that it is a lot of work brushing out one of these guys, hours of work, but they look so nice when done :)

  2. These pics brought back memories. I owned a Keeshond for all of 60 minutes once. I'd bathed her and, when it came to the brushing part, I realised that, with four small children, I simply could not manage the physical upkeep and it wouldn't have been fair to the dog. Beautiful dogs tho! I feel sorry for them in this hot, humid climate though because they have two very thick layers of coat.

  3. Brilliant pics. I portrayed a Keeshond as a commission in pastels on velour paper a couple of years back - the first time I'd come across this breed.

    Beautiful breed but I agree the maintenance must be hard work!

  5. They are beautiful, but I think they'd get too dirty and tangled in the bush here. I'd worry about ticks even more.
