Cranes

Another collagraph, one I actually like :p

Folded up a bunch of cranes, then glued them to a board. Next time I want to try different colours and maybe a few more cranes with different textured papers. I could even fold other animals and then see what a print from them will look like.

I have two conditional offers for placements at 2 different colleges, the condition being that I pass the course I am in right now. And as long as I work my ass off in photography I should :p Then I just have to decide if I stay at the current college I go to, or go to a different one. A change of scenery would be nice, but at the same time, if most of my current class also gets placements that would be great, as we pretty much all get along and work well together.

Haven't heard about Uni yet, but not holding my breath as it is very hard to get in and they get a lot of applicants and very few places to fill.

  1. I think this is amazing! I really like this, and I know how hard it is to create a good collagraph. Even monoprinting makes my head spin.

Not sure if it'll help, but I'm happy to email some of my uni photography tutes & lectures. Fingers crossed for your next academic adventure!

  3. Good luck for you. Crossing my fingers for you.
I love your collograph; I love the origami idea. I have a whole collection of origami books, and stacks of paper. Cranes, though, are always my favourite.

the cranes are the easiest to make once you do know how, i struggle with the really complex folds, still haven't been able to make a proper dragon :p
