Blogtoberfest #13

So more design work, this time with the little fish I did for college. Scanned the print and then cleaned up the edges so only the fish remained and then went and had some fun :D

A basic repeat patter.
Doubled the fish and put them side by side in a repeating pattern.
The same as above, but used the ripple filter. I  have no idea what I will do with these, but they are fun to do :)

  1. Fantastic designs! I'm a sucker for anything fishy inspired. These would make great backgrounds. Just print them out on some Golden digital ground, or gel, whack them onto a canvas/board and then paint up a storm over the top.

BTW, the big piece of bone was way too heavy to carry the 3.5km back over soft sand (after walking halfway the night before and it got dark so we turned back), but I have the baleen fragments - not surehow to preserve the soft bits...will ring the museum in the morning.

A good friend of mine is a part time whale researcher and she has an awesome collection of whale vertebrae.

I have a collection of bones & skulls, but I don't show them to many people, most just say 'eeeeewwww". Only those artistically inclined understand the joy of drawing bones...
