6 or so Hours Later....
All 3 panels are carved :) I am glad this is the soft stuff, my hands would be a lot more sore if this was the harder stuff you need to warm up to carve easily. I can't stand the hard lino, easier to get in bigger sizes here and cheaper then the soft stuff, but my fingers and back thank me for not being cheap with art supplies :p
Hi Jennifer,
ReplyDeleteWow the carvings must be hard on your hands. But they look nice.
Hugs
i take lots of breaks, its worse on my back more then my hands :)
DeleteLooks great. I can remember carving lino at high school. You had to watch your fingers! :)
ReplyDeleteI carved a frog leaping across the water.
yeah, i've forgotten how many times I stabbed myself lol
Deleteany photos of your frog?
The soft stuff is so much better and I love your triptych. I love the way the carving carries over onto the next panel.
ReplyDeletethanks cindy :)
DeleteWe have a printing school/studio which offers lots of courses. Didn't know there were so many print processes
ReplyDeleteDrypoint, collography, screenprint, lino cut, woodcut, carborundum, hardground are just a few. But I guess you know all those from College?
The prints were selling well at last week's exhibition - especially those on canvas?
had to look up what carborundum printing was, never heard of it before, but looks interesting :)
Deletemost of the printing stuff I learned in high school actually, one of the schools I went to had a great art department :)
