A Background?

Slowly adding a background. I know,a background, its a shock. Figured it was about time to add backgrounds to cp pieces. I had to add background at college, so should be adding them to personal work.

And because the background is fuzzy and very loose, it doesn't matter so much when my hands go numb. I don't need to be precise, so as long as I can still hold a pencil, I can draw loose and fuzzy :p Could even use my left hand for it, if I lose all the feeling in my right.

Thats the plan this summer. Use my left hand more, since its mostly my right that is effected by the MS. So you might be treated to really bad sketches while I teach my left hand to work:l ots of really badly drawn circles and squares, hey you never know. I could actually draw better with my left.....

  1. You're doing wonderful and I really like the colors you've chosen for the background!

  2. Your background is going to make the parrot 'pop' Jennifer.

Not sure if it will work on the textured paper you're using, but I've found working with cps on pastelmat is brilliant for creating soft backgrounds as you can blend it really easily using a piece of kitchen towel - without resorting to solvents (if you want to, of course)

    1. it might work on the paper, will have to try it since i don't think solvents are the best on this paper, can really wreck it

  3. I was just reading today that using your non-preferred hand helps to make new pathways in the brain and can improve your thinking and skills- so there you go, you're on trend!!
