Swan #1

So I am not buying any more paper until I go though the pile I have. I found all kinds of murano and mi-tientes paper I didn't even know I had the other day, so it will probably be awhile before I buy more.

This is just a small scrap of black Stonehenge that was in a drawer, about 5 by 5.5 inches? The black stonehenge paper is the only colour/shade that I like. I find the paper way too soft for coloured pencils, but great for printmaking, which is what is was made for originally.

No  more pape doesn't mean I can't get any more pencils tho :p

    You sound like me right now, I am making myself not look at papers till I put a dent in the paper I have. Now if only there were more hours in a day...

    Swan is looking pretty sweet so far, are you becoming the bird lady? :D

    I make bargains like that too, but I love that you can buy pencils!! Nice swan, we have black and white swans here. They are not very nice.

Summer of Colour #3

This weeks colours for The Summer of Color are 2 purples and a yellow and this is what I did with them. Not my favorite colours so really racked my brain trying to think how I could use them and which bird to use. Decided to go with a juvenile Golden Eagle since I don't have any photos of a purple bird :p I think I prefer the black background, the yellow seems to stand out more against it. Which do you prefer?
