I need a few more purples, but am going to try to mix them with the pencils I have. This is done with polychromos pencils on Fabriano Artistico paper and the 2 go very well together. I find wax based pencils tend to smudge a lot on this paper, but the oil based pencils work wonderfully and even tho coloured pencil is a slow medium, I find using the combination of the polys and the Fabranio paper speeds things up.
Still coughing up a storm. The joys of developing occupational asthma. Its from being around art supplies for 30+ years; dust from supplies, and probably not being as smart as I should have been around paints/thinners etc. So wear a dust mask people! :p
And gloves might be good too... Says the person who fails to wear them.
