Too Much Brown?

Working away on the Canadian beaver. Slow going even tho I want it to look simple, it still needs a bit of shading to give it some shape. Its a lot of brown but unless I make the beaver um pink or blue, not much I can do about that since they are just plain brown animals.

Todays sketch is a plastic palette knife, I have metal ones but no idea where they are. Should show up sooner rather than later since the room is slowly getting sorted out.

  2. I actually snapped one of those plastic ones this week. I'm migrating to the metal ones that don't rust. They're nice!

    1. they do break pretty easily if you have a heavy hand like me painting lol I need to find the metal set or order another online so I can paint the big canvas behind the couch :p

    2. Liquitex makes them. Can handle heavy handed use!

  3. I like your beaver! I think shading can be complicated at times, but your beaver is looking great. The palette knife also looks very good.
