Sketches #230 and #231
My tiny green car is so old is still has a tape deck. Who has cassette tapes anymore? I know you can get them, but they can be such a pain in the butt when the ribbon gets tangled.
Some of the dials on the control panel. This one was sticking but John fixed it, i think something was stuck in it. Can't remember. The car has lots of parts I can draw for this challenge, which is handy since I was almost running out of things to draw.

LOL, Jennifer! My car is nineteen and a half and still going strong - good old VW! I love the sketching ideas you come up with; anything is game and you execute them so well - inspirational, as usual!

mines a Toyota that is in pretty good shape for 16 years old :) thought about going to look at a VW but it was a semi automatic so wouldn't have worked
Deleteand thank you :D
Your sketches are wonderful!
ReplyDeletethank you Annette :)
DeleteYou must not run out of things to draw. You will find some more. The idea of sketching the cassette player parts in the car was such a neat idea. How about the window crank or the rear view mirror the door handle? Then you posted of the soldering iron is a real doozy. At first glance this morning I thought it was a plastic stick pen and then I realized it was way more complicated. You did so well with all of them. Hope you have a nice rain free Sunday before the start of another week. Genie
ReplyDeletegood idea, just sketch random little parts of the car :)
Deleteand thank you for the lovely comment about the sketches :) hmmm grey clouds just showed up but no rain yet :p
thank you Shashi :)
ReplyDeleteA tape deck - i started to say wow and then realized my 1999 toyota solara i drive every day has a tape deck and CD player. I have a lot of tapes but never play them anymore. I had a great album collection from the 60's and 70's onward and about 10 years ago i sent all of it to a thrift store - years later i get so upset sometimes that i did that:( If i still had them I would get a good stereo with a turntable and enjoy them again.
ReplyDeletethis one has a CD player too, but not actually sure if the CD player works lol
DeletePeople (mostly hipsters) are now looking all over for tapes or vinyl records
