Unicorn Head

Messed up the symmetry on the 3D model body of the unicorn. So instead of driving myself insane trying to fix it, I just cut his head off lol Going to have it mounted like a trophy when done hopefully. Little morbid perhaps.

Front view at the moment. Zbrush kept freezing on me last night, no idea why since this isn't really that big of a model. I like Zbrush, you can do a lot with it, and I have a lot to learn using it, but the interface is horrible and it is not the best written program. People love it for modeling since you can do so much with it, but fan boys/girls can't seem to admit it has problems and freak out when you mention them.

Adding the base of the mane to the model. This is just a matter of building up the area with the clay brush and then you can go back and alter it by either drawing the hair or smoothing parts down. Probably just easier to draw lines to separate the hairs to make it look more mane like.

  7. It's wonderful! It does sound like a complex program and it seems difficult that other users won't acknowledge what's not working... In any case, the unicorn looks great!

Lisa- some will admit it has problems but they make jokes out of the problems which doesn't solve the issues :/

  12. Cutting off the head may be a little drastic, even morbid but if it works, why not? I like the look of your unicorn.

  15. a face is never symetrical so the error might not matter, or??

I have to look into this someday.

  16. NatureFootstep: using the asymmetrical function in Zbrush just makes things easier to build up the model and then you can turn it off to add detail to the object or change some things slightly :) its pretty much just a time saver lol :)
