Does anyone remember singing that song as a kid? I use to sing it all the time. The first time I actually heard a Kookaburra "sing", it made me jump lol Left handed sketch #23
Kookaburras invaded Tasmania and though their laughter is part of the bush, they are a problem really. Yours is not!! Men at Work had to pay a lot of damages to the owners of the song when they used it in Land Down Under. We are generally appalled. We always sang it at school as a round.
My poor neglected blog! I just keep forgeting and running out of time in the day to post anything. I will try to post at least a few times a week *crossign fingers*
I love the left-handed Kookaburra sketches. Full of energy.
ReplyDeleteI've never heard of the Kookaburra, let alone the song! LOL Regardless, your rendition is PERFECT! :)
ReplyDeleteYour kookaburra sketch is wonderful. Now I definitely have that song running through my head, I haven't heard an actual kookaburra sing though...

ReplyDeleteCindy, I think I had heard about them having to pay the owners of the song, and the birds can be pretty destructive when they are not native ones :/
