Sunday Sketches
Two more left handed sketches. I find its easier if I just focus on the basic shape outlines, it is much easier to have the drawing look more like what it is supposed to. I guess if I think of learning to draw originally with my right was probably the same, its less frustrating not having a drawing turn out exactly how I would like. I just don't have the muscle memory for drawing with my left like I do with drawing with my right.
Linking up to Sunday Sketches
But you are getting more muscle memory every day - and you don't have to train your eyes this time - so should be faster. Honestly, I think it's awesome what you are attempting to do. If I had time, I would join you, but I've gotten myself into too many projects at the moment. Carry on Jen, it is coming along nicely!
ReplyDeleteYou are getting better every day at this!
ReplyDeleteI agree, you are getting better every day and I like the linework when you use your left hand = so much energy showing on the paper in the marks you make. Great stuff!!
ReplyDeleteThe birds looks great! I really admire you for doing this.
ReplyDeletethanks Rose :) that is very true about eye training, didn't think of that ;0 I have too much going on too, but need the practice if my right arm is going to be messed up for awhile :/
ReplyDeletethanks Christine :)
thank you Rhonda :) glad the energy shows :D thats a great comment :)
You have improved your accuracy, but have not lost that loose-ness that is so appealing!
ReplyDeleteI think they look great! Love the loose, scribble-style of sketching!
ReplyDeletethanks Chris :) I don't want to lose the looseness but would like to get a bit more detail to the sketches
ReplyDeletethank you Serena :)
I'm really feeling encouraged to try out drawing with my left hand, also my non-dominant, after seeing your progress for all these weeks. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteThese are getting pretty darn good for left-handed drawing!!!
