Flock of Birds

A flock of bird drawings to play catch up. A penguin for #107, and a tubby Kea for #108. There were signs all over in New Zealand saying watch your cars because Kea's are very curious and will take things apart (destroy things), but I thought it was odd since we were not near where the birds would be.

A Spoonbill for #109. I've never seen one of these in a zoo, would be neat to actually see one but would have to go down south.

"Then this ebony bird beguiling my sad fancy into smiling,
By the grave and stern decorum of the countenance it wore,
“Though thy crest be shorn and shaven, thou,” I said, “art sure no craven,
Ghastly grim and ancient Raven wandering from the Nightly shore—
Tell me what thy lordly name is on the Night’s Plutonian shore!”
            Quoth the Raven “Nevermore.”"

(#110)

  1. I love your birds! They are amazing, especially since you're doing them with your left hand. They look great.

  3. Amazing sketches of all the birds and with your non dominant hand. Nice to see these.

  4. Amazing how you get all these different birds with just a few lines.... I'm starting to think your non-dominant hand is becoming more like your dominant one ... ;-)

    thanks Jo :)

denthe, I think practicing with my left is helping to make me focus on only the important things since I don't have the muscle memory yet to draw a lot with my left :) but am getting better :) and thank you :)
