RedBubble Store Another dragon for Inktober, might as well still keep with the theme even though I am still a few days behind. A video of this being created.

  Zazzle Store Redbubble Finished my digital scarab. I really like how vibrant it looks, the colours work really well together.

Zazzle Store Redbubble Store Society6 Store A cute cartoon dragon and his artwork. Just something cute and simple created in a break from writing my dissertation. I'm at 10211 words out of 18000/19000 but it will need A LOT of editing before its completed, printed and handed in online and two copies to uni.

Zazzle Store Redbubble   A couple of 3D balloon unicorns. Cute and simple, made with Sculptris (free) and renders with Keyshot (not free sadly). There are many free 3D and rendering programs out there, so many to try still but once I do I should probably make a blog post or video about them. Zazzle Store Redbubble

Zazzle Store Redbubble Store Finished my dragons for St.Patrick's Day. Very green, but can't go wrong with green for that holiday. I wanted to keep them cute and simple. Not because I was being lazy, I just wanted something very basic :)

Redbubble Store Zazzle Store Made a vector version of my birthday dragon. I really like how the icing part of the cupcake turned out.

RedBubble Store Zazzle Store This weeks theme for Scribble Picnic is Flower bed . I couldn't think of anything other then a flower pot so not really a flower bed lol, so a bit of a cheat.  I used Painter for this with one of the oil brushes with my tablet. I just wanted a very quick loose piece, with pretty much no detail to it. And I wanted to start using my tablet again so just wanted to get use to how the pen reacts and works with the workstation. You can see the texture created with the digital program.

For Sale Finished and dry toucan done on Yupo paper. This turned into a little experiment in how the markers would react when sprayed with a lot of fixative, enough to soak the image. Allowed me to move the markers around with a brush and created a graffiti look, which I like a lot actually. The closeups remind me of outerspace, very pretty.   

Prints for Sale Finished the mallard :) I only have digital prints at the moment until I get a press, but you still see all of the line work on the computer print. I am pretty happy with this, the water turned out better than I expected. I kind of wish I had of gone bigger, A3 or bigger, but then I would have a problem trying to find a press to print the plate on. Need to make a huge press one day lol

For sale  Do people spell watercolour as one word or two? I always spell it as one word, but I have seen it as two in a lot of books. Don't think it really matters, just curious.

For Sale Little lino print using Chine Colle technique. I really like using this technique, so many ways to use it and its a bonus I don't need a press.

Prints Finished the gulls. Pretty happy with how they turned out, simple but it works :) Watercolours work better for me it seems when I don't focus on every detail and just concentrate on the colours.

For sale Spent a bit of time this morning pulling prints of a few bird linos that I had been meaning to get better prints of, since the last time I tried to get some prints they were really patchy. This time I managed to get a few good ones :) And made new business cards using the eagle from the other day: Still needs work, but I like how its starting to look.

For Sale I used the Luminance pencils I bought for my birthday on black Stonehenge paper, and I was afraid that I would like them too much. At £2.70 a pencil I can't afford to get any more :p When I do an exchange rate to Canadian I give myself a heart attack, thats almost $5 a pencil! ouch :p I guess liking them is better then spending the money and hating them. They feel like a cross between a coloursoft or prisma and a polychromos pencil. Blend really well and the colours are still vibrant on dark paper. I'm going to have to break down and slowly by some more of them. A person can never have too many pencils :)

 Prints for Sale Here I ended up cropping most of the background away and focus on the tigers face. I think it works better this way then the whole face. Now onto something new, not sure what yet.

For Sale Really like the colours in this, they work really well with the folded cranes. Would love to get the bigger gelli-plate or make my own, but the plate isn't cheap, and there is no room in the fridge to make my own. We need another fridge just for me to put art materials in :p

For Sale Finished the swan. While I don't like Stonehenge paper, I do like the more painterly look you get with the black paper. I need to find a black paper that I can find easily and doesn't cost an arm and a leg.

For Sale Finished my pink flamingo. Really like how the feathers look, will use ink for the background next time so it is really dark. Now onto another pink drawing lol

  For Sale Yes, the mane is supposed to lopsided :p Now onto something that has some colour to it. Need some colour after working so much with browns lately
