Butterflies

Went to Edinburgh Butterfly World today. Nice little small place, but very very humid and hot. Took lots of pictures and a short video clip which I might post tomorrow. Was very cool though how there were always butterflies flying all over the place. A few landed on John, might have to do with the fact he was wearing a red shirt, but I have no idea. So more photos tomorrow but for now I am off to pass out lol

  1. Sounds lovely, what a nice thing to do....did you get plenty reference material and are we going to see a new drawing?

I've always wanted to go to some sort of Butterfly Museum.. I think I've seen some framed, but it's nice actually seeing them fluttering around!

I was just about to say about reference material too.. I look foward to seeing what you come up with.. maybe some more ACEOs!

  4. Nice picture!

To answer your question in my blog: I just got regular sleeves for the ACEOs, They things on them are not that bluky, so I'm assuming (and hoping!) they will fit :)

  5. much better seeing them fly around than behind glass :/ We use to see all kinds of monarchs in Ontario, but a few years ago, something happened to them and we hardly saw any. Butterfly ACEOs are def. something I want to draw :)

Thanks :) There is a bit of give to the sleeves, but usually you can't get more then 2, 3 pushing it cards in one sleeve. So hopefully they are big enough for you. :)

  6. Beautiful picture of the butterfly. There is a butterfly garden at the Botanical Gardens in Wichita, Kansas. It is always amazing to walk through it and be surrounded by butterflies, or to sit quietly on a bench and have one land on you.
