ACEO coloured pencil on Canson Mi-Tientes

This month on the virtual sketch date the reference picture has been provided by Jeanette Jobson.

This was a quick little card to do. I completely forgot about this, so while I would have liked to maybe spend an extra few hours on it, I'm happy with the way it turned out. Didn't do a lot of detail. Just wanted to try to focus on the colours in the Clementine.

  7. Nice work Jennifer.
I'm guessing that since you used Mi Tientes that you choose an orange color...very challenging to work with the color of the paper for this sketch...similar to watercolor and conserving the whites.
    Great job.

  10. I forgot too so had to whip one out at the sound of the gong of midnight. I'm loving these orange backgrounds. They just add so much to the radiance of the pieces.

  13. I'm late in posting my comments this month. I'm hoping it makes it more fun than getting all the comments on one day. ;P I like how you changed this to being more monochrome and am surprised how much glows it has even without the contrasting colored background. I like your crop too!
