This might take a while as I want to try to go back to realism. Trying to do all those feathers is going to drive me insane :p surprisingly I would rather be making hundreds of dots on the paper then colouring all those feathers.
hmmm I could do a bird piece in pointillism! That would look really nice and I would be certifiable in the end so would get locked up and never have to do laundry again :p (I swear for it just being the two of use we go through a lot of laundry :/)

I really like the background you have here! I like the softness of the wash and I think it will be a perfect complement to the bird. Have fun drawing! I look forward to seeing how this comes along.
ReplyDeleteThat eagle looks great! I'm excited to see how it comes together.
ReplyDeleteIf you had the patience for doing it in pointillism, I'd be both impressed and amazed. You are amazing with 'dots'!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful back ground. Can't wait to see you eagle finished. The Kiwi fruit and the flower are also lovely
ReplyDeleteThanks Ann and Leslie :D
ReplyDeleteMichelle- I really want to put this away and start on a pointillism piece now lol As soon as this is done I will probably do another bird in dots :D (people are going to be sick of seeing me draw birds lol)
thank you Shashi :D
The background does look great.
ReplyDeleteLooks great so far. Sometimes struggling with the process makes for success in the final piece; It is usually better than struggling to find 'room' for our creative space. I will look forward to the final product.
ReplyDeletepointilism and circulism...I've done many google searches looking for art with that technique, cool.
ReplyDeletethanks Kirsty, Jenifir and Sandy :)
ReplyDeleteYour bird looks amazing. Good luck with all those feathers.
ReplyDeleteI love your eagle. The pointilism gave me a good chuckle. I tried that when I was in high school - I was trying to be a bit of a smarty pants and did a HUGE canvas of an arm, all in teensy little dots. I ran our class out of white paint .. and had to do hours and hours of homework to finish on time!
ReplyDeletethanks Michelle :)
ReplyDeletelol Liesl :D I'm sure it looked great tho!
