Finished the little dragon. I like the little dragon but I probably could have done the cupcake differently, but its done :) I think it works well as a simple drawing, but if I draw this again I would draw it bigger so I could add detail to it instead of only being able to hint at things. hmmm I really need to practice drawing food, and that will be such a chore to bake and then draw the baked goods and then try not to eat them all :p

And the start of another drawing :) yes my sketches start out this rough and then I go and refine them. Any guesses as to what it is? (its probably pretty easy to tell)

Contest details tomorrow, so please come back and have a look :)

  3. That's a darling piece. Dragon is very cute, and there is nothing I currently like better or crave more than cupcakes! (just tried out gourmet cupcake shops for the first time. wow. amazing).

I think it is a great idea to make any number of yummies to practice on. :-)

  4. That cake looks too big for Mr Dragon - you'd better send it to me so I can eat it instead. Don't want him to get tummy ache!

  5. Looks fine to me .... have you ever seen the recipe for choc sponge puddings made in a mug (in the microwave)? I don't eat puddings but I'm told they are good.

  14. I love that cupcake and dragon- really a darling design. Wouldn't it be cute on kitchen towels, aprons, etc. for people that collect dragons and love them? I don't think I've ever seen a kitchen decorated with dragon motiff.

Your beginning sketch reminds me of ancient cave drawings. I'll look forward to watch your progress with this one.

  15. I've never actually been to Waitrose Shashi, not sure where the nearest one is if there even is one close. I do love cupcakes though :) thanks

    thanks Jessy :D

linda-that is a great idea :D I wish we could have a kitchen full of dragon things, but since out kitchen is pretty small only the necessities can fit in it :/ but we make up for it by cramming all kinds of stuff, dragons included into the living room lol :D yeah I guess it does look like a cave drawing, thanks :D
