Eye Spy ...

a season's change. Truthfully I don't really notice a season change this time of year. If it wasn't for the fact that it starts getting colder and we have to start turning the lights on earlier (and in a few weeks, by 2 in the afternoon they will have to be turned on or we will be walking around in the dark :/), I wouldn't notice it turning to fall. Not a lot of the leaves around here change colour and when they do if you blink you would miss them :p

I did think it was strange the first winter I was here that the grass was such a vivid shade of green. Its odd seeing bright green grass in the winter when you are use to seeing brown brittle snow covered lawns.

I guess I could say seeing the flowers all dead in their pots could be seen as a season's change. But really who wants to see a bunch of dead rotting flowers? So have a picture of the beach at St.Cyrus that Mr.F took the other day.

  2. I didn't realize your daylight hours would be so short in the autumn. Ours are growing shorter, too, but we usually will have daylight until about 4:30 or 5:00 in Maryland. Your beach photo is beautiful!

  5. That is a lovely photo. Oh I hate winter not because it is cold but because the daylight hours are so short. That is what I hate the most.

  8. Delightful photo. I really love the way the sunlight is beaming on the water - almost looks like a pathway up into the... well, who knows what? [add own spritual/scientific beliefs here]
Sounds like you'll need a holiday down south to get some sun soon!

  9. I don't think I could cope with so little sun, i get abit down with the sun setting as early as 6:00pm in winter. In a few weeks it won't be getting dark till 8:00pm

  10. @ Aussie-waffler - was nice enough for me to sunbathe in just swimwear and take a quick dip...though the sea was a bit chilly at first

    @ Shashi - Thanks :-)

@ Vee - thanks for offer but one woman is enough hassle for me ;-)
