What am I Thinking?...

I tried to find a form to try to get some art into the show last year but no luck. Found one in the library this year. Nothing to lose entering so going to try to figure out what to enter. I think I know already, but have a week or 2 to figure it out.

Kind of freaked out lol but I do know you don't get anywhere without trying, even though it freaks me out :p

My blog/website idea isn't working so need to think of something else. I hate code :/ I know what I would like both to look like its just figuring out a way to do it without killing both.

Used soft pastels today so was sneezing orange and yellow, not to mention I got pastel all over my jeans. And probably in my hair. Cheap way to dye my hair I guess :p

  1. Good luck with your entries. I agree, there's nothing to lose!!
I know nothing about code, except it is the words that makes things appear on the internet. I was almost 30 before we had any computers at school. We had ONE!!!

  3. Sometimes you just have to try! You never know what comes back....

As for HTML, what are you trying to do exactly? I learned it over a decade ago and now remember enough to know when something isn't right when I am in Dreamweaver! I host my own blog, but somebody else built the theme. I just changed the CSS to suit me - I am afraid of PHP!

  5. cindy thank you :D there would have been blood shed if our school only had one computer lol viscous kids that we were :p

claire i'm sure there would be someone out there making money from the mess :p it can be an odd feeling, worse with oil pastels :/

michelle- I wanted to run a code here but since the code I would use for displaying art is java script it wont work. so might have to just think of different ways to finish my actual site now

    alison that is true :D

  6. Hi Jen, as you know I was kind of put off going for competitions and am going to refrain for the near future. I think it depends on the person...I am not good at knockbacks and if I kept going in the same vein, it would be detrimental to me as a person. I consider that I have had enough put-downs in my life....but that is a personal thing. If you can get your head around it, it does no harm to go for it!

  7. I think I know what you are trying to do. I did it on my blog on my 'paintings' page, I think. If it is the same thing, drop me an e-mail... :)

  8. Go for it, Jennifer! A few years ago I entered a piece in a juried fine art exhibit. I was just sure my work wouldn't be accepted into the exhibit, but lo and behold it was.

  9. chrissy-might not happen this year now since right now can't afford to get anything framed, always next year :) i think i don't have a problem with rejection because i just shrug my shoulders. but with the one you entered it would probably take a lot for me to enter, not because of the set back but because i think its pointless trying with that one :/ which is a shame.

michelle thats exactly what I've been trying to figure out but now I think the problem was that I can't run a script like that on blogger since its javascript :/

linda- still want to enter, but don't have the money now to get things framed :/ always next year. :) and thats why its important to just try, never know what might happen :)

  10. Did you get your stuff ready for the show? And where did you post your nekked people? Being on dial-up sucks, I feel halfway blind on the internet & keep missing things.
