And Once Again a Broken Toe

We haven't really done any gardening this year. Between the dog, moving and everything else, we haven't had time to do more then water the potted flowers and pull out the weeds. At least with the new house we don't have any grass to mow, just a few small bushes to trim, and some rhododendrons to take care of. We took all of the potted plants we had at the flat, and my lilies have decided to add some colour to the front yard finally :) I love this colour, and because of the nice weather we have been having this summer, there are a lot of buds this year to open :) (and lots of reference pics to draw now).

So was watering this pot and turned around, miss judge the step and walked right into a curbstone :/ !%%*&"£!!!!! Turned the air bright blue and hobbled inside. Knew it was broken as the toe twisted more, but ended up going to A&E as the top of my foot hurt to press and very painful to put weight on the foot. I know there is nothing to do with a broken toe other then tape it, but was told that if my foot still hurts or gets any worse, to come back as I could have broken a bone in my foot near my ankle bone (can't remember what it is called). Without an X-ray its hard to say, and it could just be hurt because of the initial shock and swelling. Crossing my fingers its just hurt from the swelling, because I don't want to walk around with a cast... then again, I could get crutches and poke people in the back if they piss me off ;p

So to freak people out that don't like looking at feet, here are the toes on my left foot.
See, the 3 on the left are twisted from being broken. The little one is twisted almost all the way around, almost walking on the toenail. Yes I need a pedicure lol :p I'm pretty hard on my feet.

This little piggy went to market,
This little piggy stayed at home,
This little piggy had roast beef,
This little piggy had none.
And this little piggy went...
"Wee wee wee" all the way home...

  1. Ouch, ouch, ouch!

Having broken toes a number of times (the most recent by being trampled by a three year old!) I know how painful it is. Hope your foot feels better very soon.

  4. Oh dear I do hope it is no more than a broken toe which is bad enough.

  5. Owie! My little toe wasn't broken but turns sideways like that. Mr. P always makes fun of me.

  6. Our digits are jinxed. Your poor toes. Ow.
Now get that pedicure, not that your feet look bad, but just because you deserve some pampering.

  7. Ohhh, I feel for you. I have broken my toes so much. I can't even post photos..they are gruesome looking. ha.

    hope it heals quick.

I just came off of a two month stint where I thought I broke my toe, self diagnosed, but then that felt better and then the top and bottom of the foot hurt like hell and I had to stop walking for many week. It's finally all healed up.

I was walking, when my toe hit a throw rug that was turned up at the corner and whack...broke it.
