Shoot Me Now

And I thought coloured pencil took forever lol And to think I actually love using ink. I zone out when doing any kind of pointillism, not completely I don't hear the dog whine (and she will poke me with her nose if I didn't hear her :p), but enough that it takes me a few seconds to realize that the phone is ringing or Mr.F said something :p I know there are other artists that zone out when working too, its hard to explain tho if it hasn't happened to you. Like the creative gods take over and move your hand for you. Now if only they could do the house work at the same time, this might get done sooner :p

  1. Hi Jennifer,

I agree with you 100% because when I work on something, I block out the world too. :)Sometimes my DH says something and I know I have answered but then later it comes to haunt me when he mentions the topic again and I change my answer. :( Then he rapidly says, But you agreed ( or disagreed) with me earlier. :( Then he says, "Oh again you weren't paying attention to me!" :( I guess we fall "In OUR ZONES" and we don't hear anything around us. :)
Love the beginning of the Owl.
    Hugs

  2. Definitely happens to me too, Jennifer :) Art or writing, it happens the same way. I get completely lost in my own little world. It's a lot like meditation!

And I LOVE your owl! He is gorgeous!

  3. I too agree with you and I find that if I am disturbed from that zone I get a bit irritated before I come down to earth. Your owl is coming along beautifully.

  4. This is from Wikipedia and one of my instructors would always talk of Kairos time. It is wonderful when in it!

"Kairos (καιρός) is an ancient Greek word meaning the right or opportune moment (the supreme moment). The ancient Greeks had two words for time, chronos and kairos. While the former refers to chronological or sequential time, the latter signifies a time in between, a moment of undetermined period of time in which something special happens. What the special something is depends on who is using the word. While chronos is quantitative, kairos has a qualitative nature"

  6. Jennifer I love how the owl is coming along. I know the feeling of getting zoned out. I love when that happens and I don't like being disturbed. LOL

  7. You won't catch me doing pointillism, yikes, I'd tear my hair out bald- I don't have the patience. Your owl is looking fantastic. Being in your own space just means your immersed in the muse. Go for it.
