Third colour pass, usually wouldn't use white but I the way it looks over the previous colours :)

So I managed to stab myself in the thumb carving this. Nice cut, right on the bendy part of my thumb :/ A reduction print for college. So far just 2 colours, possibly 5 but not sure yet.

So I need to make 3 sculptures for a class and then one final piece after they are finished. They can be done with anything, but after doing a bunch of research I really wanted to try to make something with wire. This is my first attempt at it, and its not done. Needs bulking out and a lot more shaping. It lives!...well it stands at least :p And this is where it is now. Lots more to do on it, but for a first try its not that bad :p

I am not done with these, done with the class, but they still need something... Was thinking song lyrics or some poem. (when the teacher saw this one, said it could also work if my theme was bondage :p) But haven't found one that I like and think fits them well.

More messing around with the kraken image. I have been so busy trying to get my portfolio together for applying to another college course and to Uni, that I haven't really had time to work on anything else. meh, gives me an excuse to make a mess just to fill pages in my sketchbooks, (need 3 of them...) Another lino cut idea, a reduction print this time. Only need 6 prints to pass this module, and they don't all have to be lino prints. I think we are doing etching once we get back from Easter break.

I don't swim. Well, I can, just don't like to :p But here is a splash of colour. More messing around with watercolour and canvas. I really do like this technique.  Forces you to be really loose because you really can't control where the water will go, it soaks in and does what it wants.

Raven done with inktense pencils and water colour. While I still like drawing realistically, finding drawing more loose like this fun :)

I think I've been watching too many pirate movies :p A lino print done for college, this was just a test on a piece of foam that was laying around. The foam actually works a lot better than I thought it would.

Wrecked- For Sale Very loose piece for me, love working with Inktense pencils. The colours are so nice and vibrant. I would give my right leg for a whole set of them (of course I wouldn't mention that my right leg does have the habit of twitching at random moments, buyer beware an all :p)

Everyone has a guilty pleasure when it comes to music..this is mine :p

Haven't had much time to work on the leopard this week but did manage a bit of time tonight :) Really liking how it is looking so far. Sky had her booster vaccinations today, so isn't feeling the best and is crashed out on the couch. Being very quiet, which is not like her at all :p Not use to having her sleep most of the time.

Shake-For sale We have tried and tried and tried to get Sky to shake, but she just looks at us like we are crazy :p Not that I want to shake a horses hoof :p Too much of a chance of broken fingers. Take a Bow-For Sale I need to make a sculpure for one of my classes, so have been messing around with different horse poses. I think this one would be easier to do than a rearing horse, and have less chance of falling over :p

No I didn't throw up on a piece of fabric and call it art :p Its my first try at a rust print. Wasn't actually looking to make anything pretty, just seeing if it would work. Took a rusty tube,( looked like a car part, but I'm not really sure), wrapped it in a whitish rag and then soaked it with vinegar. The classroom smelt like I had gone out for fish and chips :p Let it dry over the weekend and then unwrapped it. I know it works now, so can try again with different shapes and fabric. This will probably just get glued into my sketchbook along with any notes I make. I found that the vinegar worked better than using salt and water. The salt still worked, but the print was very very light.

The Barenaked Ladies :) I remember when everyone in grade 3 had to lip-synch a song, so me and a friend chose this one. We found everything for the song and used Monopoly money for the cash. Would love to see the video of us, and laugh at how daft we probably looked :p

Another big cat :D A big fluffy one this time :p. Not much to see right now, and the eye still needs work, but looking good so far.

Been drawing a lot of blue horses lately lol This was just done for a quick study, I want to do a bigger version with the Inktense pencils, so need to draw the image a few times to get it looking the way I want before I go bigger with it. Not sure what to do with the background, I just put a plain red one so the horse wasn't floating in the air, but don't really like the way it looks, too simple I think.

Found his spots :p I want to get a better picture of this but its in my drawer at college, so hopefully next week I remember to bring it home.
