St Cyrus Cemetery 2 , a photo by fuzzydragons on Flickr. I will be the first person to admit that I am not a photographer :p Love taking photos, just not really that good at it. Any photos that do turn out all right, its down to luck :p So, yes a lot of photos that anyone takes are down to luck, but I really am not that good at it :p I understand the settings you need to use for an SLR, and it is nice having more control over a photo rather then just using a point and shoot, but I'm an artist, not a photographer :p I do think photography is an art, but just like where someone can be a great illustrator but horrible at sculpture, I can draw, I am just rubbish with a camera lol So having photography this block has been a bit of a challenge, but challenges are good, right?

I haven't had my sketchbooks for 2 weeks, was lost without them :p I knew I used them a lot, but not until I didn't have them did I realize how much I actually do use them. Of course when I didn't have them, I had all kinds of ideas, and now that I do...nothing :p I can't remember if I posted the above knot before. I probably did, but meh, I like it enough to post again lol When I went to get my portfolio from Uni, one of the people at the desk remembered me, didn't think my hair was pink when I dropped it off, "very natural colour" :p I don't know if it is a good or bad thing that they remembered who I was, then again, probably not that many Canadians dropping off a portfolio in person :p

Can a person have too many computer monitors?:p I've never done a collograph print before, so have no idea what I am doing lol So its just gluing junk/stuff down and printing from it?

Sort of :p So I went from this , to a big mess :D An armature for a sculpture :D Took the treaded rod, Mr.F drilled a hole in the piece of wood and secured the rod with a few bolts. Works well for a support for one of the legs. Rain out of the thicker wire, so had to use the thin stuff until I get some more thick stuff. Just used right now for a place holder. And starting to bulk the form out. I plan on going over this with paper mache, then air dry clay to get the proper shapes. Remains to be seen if it will work :p And I don't recommend having 3 colanders fall on your nose :( I think I broke it *ouch*

Can a person draw too many horses?? :p Inktense pencils on canvas board. I had never used Inktense on board before. They work OK dry but the first wet layer really pools on the surface, but after that it is easy to add more ink to it. Does take a long time to draw, 2 hours later and this was still wet. Creepy horse :p Not finished, but it needs to dry before I add any more ink to it. :D

This weeks word is, runkle. Last weeks words: 1. piece is a sandwich, which Serena got right :) 2. sploonging means soaking wet

New business card? I smudges the mobile here, just because I really don't want a phone call at 3 in the morning from someone trying to sell me penis enlargement pills :p I am always changing my cards, but I think I have found one that I finally really like. The font goes well with the image, and the image stands out. Thoughts anyone?

It sort of looks like a horse :p I am loving messing around with wire, you can be as loose style wise as you want or be very realistic. I prefer being very loose, hard to tell what it is but I know :p I stabbed myself many time with wire, (almost blinded one of my classmates), and pinched my fingers with the pliers, but still want to work with the wire again :p I was going to title this post " I like big butts and I can not lie" :p

I like it :D Took almost 3 hours to rinse out, and both mine and Mr.F's hands were bright pink (his still are) :p Ink and Watercolour horses :D I used Inktense pencils wet to get the dark lines. It does work really well for that, but uses up a lot of the pencil. And a jumping horse :) Sometimes I do regret choosing horses as a theme as it gets a little repetitive, but it has helped a lot with my horse anatomy, so I can elongate body parts and you can still tell that it is a horse.

Taken a lot of photos of random things, trying to find some other ruined places to take photos of. I do have art to do, but since its Easter break from college, I figured i should be lazy :p But back to work now, have to finish that leopard and work on wire work.

A dragon! Been a long time since I have drawn any type of dragon, its over due. So here is a dragon that still needs some work, but he is turning out pretty nice  :)

And only cut myself twice :p The registration could be better, but it didn't turn out that bad. I really do need to build a printing jig if I am going to be doing a lot of reduction printing, would make things so much easier.

One more to go (simple black), and then its done :) For a print that I really hadn't planned to do in multiple colours, its turned out all right. Better paper next time tho, but since its for college I am not that concerned.

I honestly have no idea what to call this, I am horrible for coming up with names. Any suggestions? Still lots to do, but its getting there slowly :)

I can't get this song out of my head...help?!?

Since I am off college for 2 weeks (yay, sleep until noon time!:p), I might be able to get more on this done, or hopefully finished. The nose still needs work, but I want to get more done on the rest of the head before I add darker values to the nose. Don't want the nose to be too dark, would stand out too much and I want the eyes to stand out more then its nose :p
