Fuzzydragons

Kinda looks like a Lion King character. But its just the lineart so doesn't have to look realistic, just need to get the basic shapes in the right places so it doesn't look like it has 4 eyes and 3 noses.

fabricsamples , a photo by fuzzydragons on Flickr. So a few weeks ago I got some fabric samples made up of some designs I did. Not sure what you would do with the pattern, skirt or a bag maybe? I do like how they turned out, the black could be darker but that is easily enough fixed. Some people know, I have arthritis in both sides of my jaw, hence the hyalgan injections. I have already had the right side done, its the worst, so it was done first. It was working, but for the last few weeks its been creaking and cracking more and tonight, it feels like someone has kicked me in the side of the face :/ So less then a year later, and its starting to go back to the way it was before the injections. A bit of a pain in the ass :/ Back to only being able to eat soup :p On a happier note, 4 day weekend! yay! but I have lots of college work to do, so not really days off, at least i can sleep past 6:30 :D

One life drawing and a rough sketch of what I think was an old meat grinder :p Forgot to take a photo of the life drawing, so here, have some jelly beans :D

For Sale Finished tiger eyes :) Really want to do a series of big cat eyes on black paper, just have to get some more and find some ref. photos unless I go on safari :p And a close up showing the pencil stokes and the paper texture. Still  not 100% sure its Murano paper, but the only other black paper I had was Stonehenge and it isn't that, not soft enough to be.

Starting to look like fur now. I really have to get some more black paper, I like the painterly look you get with it.

Small update on the tiger eyes :) I love working on black paper, makes using coloured pencils quicker.

squares2 , a photo by fuzzydragons on Flickr. 3 squares done...over 30 to go. Still carving away at this piece of lino. Taking a little longer then normal since there are little areas to carve away and I am trying not to cut into lino I want left alone, so moving slowly.

OK so its not music, but she makes me laugh :D (she does swear a lot in her videos, just to let people know)

Need 30 or more of these...and no haven't put a lining in my flower bag yet. But I feel like starting another crocher project :)

2 sketchbook pages in progress of some dragons. They are nowhere near done, most of the pages in my sketchbooks end up with ref. photos and loose pages of drawings glued down. Which is why my sketchbooks usually end up weighing a tonn...one from college last year weighed over 6 pounds :p

Love their ears :D Just a simple drawing of a Painted Dog that I will probably colour with coloured pencils.

For Sale And now onto something else...hopefully this time not a bird :p This is a cropped image of the Eagle, would probably be how I would end up leaving it to frame it, if I was going to. I tend to leave extra space on the paper for framing, for 2 reasons. 1. A customer can have the final say in how they want the image to look if they frame it. 2. Sometimes I will add to a drawing, and having that extra space to do so can come in handy. Used this photo for the drawing :)

Worked on the Bald Eagle today for a few hours. Used a lot of purples and blues on the white feathers, works better than just using straight grey. You can see how different lighting conditions effect the colours. Taken with the same camera, one in the early afternoon, the other about 6 in the evening. The last photo is closer to the true colours. Debating on whether to colour the background on this or leave the paper as is. I think the colour goes well with the Eagle, so might be lazy and leave it :p

First test print for this . Lots left to carve away, most of this print will be white....going to take awhile.

He looks really pissed off :p So started another round of hyalgan injections in my jaw...ow :/ Nice dime sized bruise by my ear. Its not horribly painful, but not um...pleasent. Its odd that you can feel the fluid  moving around when it is injected, and the anesthetic messes with my eyes. Makes things all fuzzy, and I go into shock, because yeah, it does hurt. So I am a little shaky for a few hours after. I wouldn't be doing this in my left jaw if it had not have worked so well on the right side. No more lock jaw on that side, just the odd crushy tin foil sound. Go from being only able to open my mouth 15mm to 30mm. So even tho I have to deal with fuzzy eyes, bruised face, and the pain of the injection, seems sort of worth it :p And really being able to eat a piece of steak again would be nice :p

Actually not snoring as I'm not sleeping :/ On the plus side, getting a lot of reading done, and drawing a lot. But I am starting to look like I have been punched in the face :p There have probably been studies done about artists and insomnia, I should probably go and find a few to read......

Another bird, big surprise :p A quick sketch and than transfered onto dark blue paper. Still doing a lot of art, but working a lot on my sketchbooks. They need work, look really empty right now :/

For Sale This months location in the Virtual Paintout is Tasmania :) Very nice looking place and another one to add to the travel list for one day. I will just say, I love my markers :D I just wish they were not so much money or I would have more of them. I know this scratchy ink/marker style is not to everyones taste, but I like how simple it looks but also how colourful I can make it.
