Book Wrap-up For July Part 2
Yeah..the months almost over, but still going to finish reviewing the books I read last month.
6,7,8,9. Red Dragon (Hannibal Lecter #),The Silence of the Lambs (Hannibal Lecter #2),Hannibal (Hannibal Lecter #3,Hannibal Rising (Hannibal Lecter #4) by Thomas Harris
First 2 were good, he should have stopped there :p Part of the appeal about reading about hannibal the cannibal is not knowing why he does the things he does, not knowing why he thinks the way he does. Sort of ruins the books when you find out. I would probably read these before watching the movies if you haven't seen them already, so then the surprises that happen in the book actually are surprises.
Short summery: Serial killer questioned to help solve crimes, and then you find out about his past in the last 2 books. Can't really say anything else without giving away big plot points.
10. Rendezvous with Rama (Rama #1) by Arthur C. Clarke
Sci-fi with great world building, not much character building unless you count Rama as a character. I didn't realize this was a series until I finished it, will be getting any others as I do want to know what happens in the book's world.
A huge object in space is found and the story focuses on people exploring the object as it comes to life. There is a huge mystery about the object that isn't really solved in the end, but I do like that because it lets the readers own imagination fill in the blanks.
11.Moll Flanders by Daniel Defoe
um.....whats that saying? If you have nothing nice to say about anything, keep it to yourself??

I am with you on the stopping when it is the right time. I think TV, books, films etc should just stop, and not be greedy for money. I like Fawlty Towers: made 2 series and then stopped.
ReplyDeletehavent seen all of fawlty towers yet, nor black adder. need to get on that lol
