Backgrund or Not??

This is the stage where I should really start thinking of putting in the background, but I think the bird is pretty busy to look at as it is, and a background might be too much to look at. I think the next one I will put a background in but might pick a simpler subject for it.

    It is absolutely gorgeous. How about just suggesting a branch that the bird is perched on?

      he/she is standing on a cut off log but you can't see it since the feet are off the plate :/ in the photo there are a bunch of ever green branches behind the bird but not sure if they would be too much. maybe just put a few in?

    I like that idea. A light value of foliage in the background would be nice.

    I'm a minimalist. I think it might take away from the work to add a background. Just stunning!
