Crowned

Started on the crest today, need to darken the base to make it stand out a bit more. All the wrinkles on his neck are going to drive me insane. If its not  loads of feathers to etch, its lots of wrinkles to drive me crazy :p

This doesn't quite fit on my scanner, so bigger than A3 by about half an inch. I need more plexi-glass now and really have to start building a press before I get buried in etching plates.

    Feeling ignorant now, had no idea it would be a cassowary, and can't spell it either. I need to visit the zoo again...

      don't feel ignorant!! its not really a very well known bird :) not sure if the Toronto Zoo has one?
