Summer of Colour #2
So for Summer of Colour Week #2, the pallete given was 2 pinks and an orange :) So of course with pink being the main colour, I needed to do flamingos :p
People have been asking me how I make these. I use Adobe Illustrator and its not that hard, just tedious if there are a lot of little sections to colour and change. And I probably don't do it the "proper" way you are supposed to but it works for me and I will probably get shown the "proper" way in Uni since I am taking Graphics :p

ReplyDeletethank you Sharon :)
DeleteAwesome work. Nice job with this weeks colors.
ReplyDeletethank you very much :)
DeleteMakes me think of a movie poster or book cover. I keep looking for a title :D
ReplyDeletesame here :) can't think of many books with flamingos in them tho, alice in wonderland?
Deletexo
ReplyDeleteNice! Proper in graphics is can you do it quickly and will it print correctly? If yes then you did it right! Lol! Great composition...
ReplyDeletethanks Michelle :) this does print correctly, tried the other day at A4, and should print all right at A3 which is the biggest I can print. thanks about the composition, the original photo one of us took at the zoo and their are more flamingos but I thought it was too busy :)
DeleteA paper sizes if you didn't know :)
Flamingos are a perfect choice for this palette! And what wonderful ones you've created.
ReplyDeletethank you Deborah :)
DeleteLove how those vibrant colors pop off the black!
ReplyDeletethank you Linda :)
DeleteA wonderful graphic design!!
ReplyDeletethanks peggy :)
DeleteThis is great I saw it on the facebook page. I admire anyone who can create digitally. Anita #29 Itsamistry Design Studio
ReplyDeletethanks Anita :) I find digital work a nice break from "traditional" work (and Im sure you could work digitally to :) )
DeleteI'm impressed with your flamingos. I get too frustrated and, as you pointed out, it fiddly, time consuming work. Sometimes you don't need to know the RIGHT way, but the way that works best for you.
ReplyDeletevery true, except when it comes to Uni that can be a little um...anal about things being done the right way :p
DeleteOh! this is so lovely, I like the way you have used the colours. I use Photoshop and there are a 'million' different ways to do the same thing. Whatever you are doing you're 'doing it right'. Thanks so much for visiting me.
ReplyDeletethank you Miriam :) I use to use Photoshop but have lately been using Illustrator more and more
DeleteOh they are too cute... beautiful work....
ReplyDeletethank you :)
Deletesuch a creative take on this
ReplyDeletesuch interesting birds
thank you for visiting Tammie :)
DeleteFun take on the challenge. Flamingos are a perfect subject for PINK! I don't do thing "proper" with Photoshop either. I play around until it looks good to me...likely wasting a lot of time getting there. :)
ReplyDeletethanks :) I thought flamingos were perfect for the colour choices, and couldn't find any other photos we had taken with pink birds :)
DeleteNice SOC-entry :-)
ReplyDeletethank you :)
DeleteRight way or wrong way it certainly is the pretty way!
ReplyDeletethanks :)
DeleteWhat a lovely picture! Great editing and using the three colours! I like it!!
