365 Sketches #22

I have a lot of feathers laying around, mostly Peacock ones, but a lot of smaller ones and no idea what the big black ones are. Turkey feathers? Crow? Would love some from a pheasant, but I don't hunt and all the ones you see on the side of the road :( are generally not good to use. They honestly have to be one of the daftest birds out there. um, pretty sure playing chicken with a car is a bad idea, (and no we haven't hit any, the air horns scare most things off the road :p)

  1. Oh I love that feather! I think you've really captured the essence of it. I'm sorry about the pheasants, I hope you find a naturally dropped and good to use feather from one at some point.

  2. Jennifer, I hope you are feeling much better - that ear infection sounded awful! Thank you very much for your wonderful comment on the magnolia painting - hard to accomplish much with all the sizing washed out of the paper.
    Happy feather hunting!!!
